For a while now I’ve been wanting to review these guys, as I previously Interviewed and photographed them back in 2014 at a London show they did just after their EP release Of Oak Island. I have followed the band since 2013 and every time they bring out new material I can’t wait to grab my headphones, crank up the volume and rock out to their tunes!

Our Last night are a 4-piece Post-hardcore band from N.H USA. For those who haven’t heard of them and if your reading this (read this and go check them out) They are; Trevor Wentworth – Lead vocals, his brother Matt – lead guitar and backing vocals, Alex Woodrow- Bass guitar and Time Molloy – Drummer.

They have recently just dropped their 8 track album; Let Light Overcome which come out March 8th on Epitaph records. The band released their first single for the album “demons” along with the video, I knew from listening and watching it that it was going to be an epic album with mega potential and kick!. Here is what Matt said about demons; “The lyrics could seem really dark if read pessimistically, but if you dive deeper the meaning is more inspiring than assumed. They suggest that at our core, all humans have a similar capacity for good and evil. The inner battle between the two is something we all face and it’s our responsibility to win that battle at all costs” – @mattyry

When the album dropped I am happy to say I listened to it like 5 times that day. The album is everything you want to hear from them its got heart and soul into each line and each song I feel has meaning to life. The way that Trevor and Matt work the vocals I think is, pure genius the way they bounce of each other and then the drums and bass bring it all together for.

When I listen to this it feels like I’ve heard it before in the form of previous tracks they’ve produced but I know it’s completely fresh and new. Every time I listen to this album I hear new sounds and I learn more about the songs stripping them back into how they were probably recorded.

This album is a true masterpiece from the boys and I know that their fans will love listening to it as much as I have.

The band are definitely worth a listen or even better get out a go see them, they are currently on their 2019 North American Tour which runs till April 6th and then moving on to Europe with a set at the U.K Rock and metal festival Download. Or check them out on their social media platforms:
