On March 1st, 2023, the city of Edmonton was buzzing with excitement as American rapper and
singer Bryce Vine took the stage on the first night of the tour. Bryce Vine is an American rapper
and singer, who blends rap, pop, and alternative music to make hit songs. In 2019, he played
soldout headline tours across the USA and earned 2x Platinum for his song “Drew Barrymore”.
His next album, Serotonin, is scheduled for release soon.
Jamie Fine
The Canadian singer, songwriter, and artist Jamie Fine set the stage first. Her hilarious and
honest comments paired with her fun attitude added to the pop music. Jamie Fine rose to fame
with her former duo partner Elijah Woods. In 2020, she stepped away and started creating her
own style, releasing a series of singles and a forthcoming debut EP, “Confessions”. On the first
night of the tour, Jamie celebrated by bringing her girlfriend on stage and introducing her to the
crowd.
Bryce Vine
Once Bryce Vine took the stage, the venue was packed and the room was filled with screams
and excitement. He played the first song surrounded by a lot of fog and almost no lights, forcing
the crowd to listen to the lyrics and music. It was not long until the bright lights came on and the
whole venue was jumping up and down, singing along with him. Backed by his band, Bryce Vine
really brought energy to the venue and the crowd. It seemed like everyone in the crowd knew
the words, and the whole place had an incredible atmosphere. He closed off the night with his
first online success in 2014, “Sour Patch Kids”.
Overall, the entire show was an insane show of talent. From the immersive lights and fog, to the
DJ pulling out a trumpet for two songs, to the incredible and energetic Bryce Vine himself. The
first night of his tour in Edmonton was an unforgettable experience, and we can’t wait to see
what he has in store next
