NAMM 2020: Another great year

BY Unrated staff

Alright NAMM 2020 is here and it’s my first time and I’m exhausted already trying to plan where to go what times I should be at at certain booths. After picking up my badge I soon found out how big NAMM really is. I started right off the bat with Sully guitars as Jon Sully is a CHICAGO local boy like myself and I haven’t seen Jon in a year since He was in Chicago dropping off Sully guitars that folks like myself had purchased.

Sully Guitars
Sully Guitars

Sully Guitars located just outside of North Dallas makes custom guitars Built by Rock n’ Roll and also does guitar building classes where you actually build from scratch your own guitar along side of you is Sully as he shows you step by step how to build your guitar. Lots of sanding so I hear. I actually own a Sully guitar and by far it’s the most fastest, smoothest, and best feeling guitar I’ve ever played and own. Sully has made guitars for Nikki Sixx of Motley Crue as well as StevieD of Buckcherry. Now you can save a ton of money and purchase a Conspiracy Series guitar which are built in South Korea by World Musical Instruments (WMI); this is the same highly regarded factory that builds Schecter, LTD, the Ormsby GTR line, and many others. The guitars will be shipped to Sully Guitars HQ and inspected by Sully before they go to you. Definitely check out these guitars you will not be disappointed.

Korg’s SV-2 Stage Vintage Piano

Now, after a decade since its first appearance, a new line of SV is ready to take center stage. Korg’s SV-2 Stage Vintage Pianos feature more of what has made SV a mainstay of stages and studios ten years running; over ten times the sample ROM, more piano, keyboard, synth, and acoustic sounds, more polyphony, and more sounds at once – thanks to simultaneous layer and panel-assignable split. The SV-2 SP in a Vintage Ivory goes on to offer a custom-designed, integrated K-ARRAY stereo speaker system for connection-free sound anywhere. Both models are available in 88 and 73 Keys with Korg’s premium RH3 graded hammer action. DJ LINK*
DJ LINK*

Avolites, leader in state-of-the-art visual (lighting control) canvas consoles, media servers, networking products and dimmers for the entertainment industry today announces its integration with Pioneer DJ’s PRO DJ LINK* on both its Titan and Ai platforms. This exciting new innovation allows users to easily receive real-time feedback from the DJ to their consoles. The features include Pioneer DJ Waveform Display that allows the operator to see the live waveforms from the CDJs in a workspace window and Pioneer DJ BPM Trigger that gives the operator the ability to automatically trigger BPM masters directly from a chosen CDJ in the set-up.  Avolites continuously strives to innovate new, reliable and constructive features that will give users state of the art performance. This latest integration with Pioneer DJ is set to redefine visual control in the clubbing world by allowing operators to focus more on creating impactful looks and shapes instead of manually pushing executor buttons or entering values. It also removes any guessing work with operators able to anticipate changes in the music with ease, so the visuals are always in sync. The software is a first party integration, removing the need for complicated set-ups and Pioneer’s PRO DJ LINK BRIDGE handles all of the communication, eliminating any possibility that the integration could cause issues with the Pioneer DJ system itself.

The software is compatible with Pioneer’s CDJ-2000NXS2, DJM-900NXS2, DJM-TOUR1, CDJ-TOUR1 with rekordbox DJ software. Avolites scheduled announcing Titan v13 at NAMM 2020 with the release to follow shortly along with Ai 12.1

All and all NAMM 2020 was amazing so many products from cords to guitar picks to amps, guitars, ukuleles, pianos,  drums, hell everything related to the music industry is at NAMM. I’m disappointed at my MacBook Pro that has decided to crap out and make me lose most of my coverage along with images. Not sure what happened but it’s time to purchase a new MacBook Pro.  I met so many amazing people and made some new friends and with that I leave you.
