On a warm late-summer night in Cleveland, Ohio, two of the most unique and innovative metal bands in the world came together for a co-headlining tour. Babymetal, the Japanese kawaii metal sensations, and Dethklok, the fictional death metal band from the Adult Swim cartoon Metalocalypse, took the stage at the historic Cleveland Agora Theater for a show that was nothing short of epic.

Babymetal opened the show with a bang, performing a medley of their biggest hits, including “Gimme Chocolate!!”, “Karate”, and “Megitsune”. The crowd was immediately energized by the band’s high-energy performance and intricate choreography. SU-METAL, MOAMETAL, and MOMOMETAL were all in top form, delivering their vocals with precision and power.

The band’s backing band was also outstanding, providing a tight and heavy foundation for the vocals. The stage production was also top-notch, with elaborate costumes and lighting effects that added to the overall spectacle of the show.

After Babymetal’s set, the stage was readied for Dethklok. When the band took the stage, the crowd erupted in cheers. Dethklok launched into a set of their most brutal and punishing songs, including “Bloodrocuted”, “Thunderhorse”, and “Murmaider”.

The band’s sound was absolutely massive, and the crowd was headbanging and singing along to every word. Dethklok’s live show is always a visual feast, and this show was no exception. The band’s stage production was elaborate and over-the-top, with giant video screens, pyrotechnics, and even a giant inflatable dragon.

Dethklok closed out their set with a thunderous rendition of their biggest hit, “Face Fisted”. The crowd was left buzzing after the show, and both Babymetal and Dethklok delivered performances that will be remembered for years to come.

Overall, the Babymetal/Dethklok tour was a must-see for any fan of metal music. Both bands are at the top of their game, and they put on a show that was both entertaining and visually stunning. If you have a chance to see this tour, I highly recommend it.
