The Steve Miller Band heats up Ravinia!
Ravinia, the beautiful outdoor venue located in Highland Park, IL welcomed the Steve Miller Band to showcase their mix of blues with psychedelic and southern style rock. The pavilion, as well as the surrounding grounds, was packed to hear the rock and roll hall of fame inductee perform all of his classic hits.
Singer, guitarist, and songwriter Steve Miller formed his band back in 1966 in San Francisco, CA. Steve Miller had a string of hit singles during the mid to late 1970s which are all now staples heard on classic rock radio. The band performed nearly 20 songs which included hits like “Fly Like an Eagle”, “Abracadabra”, “Take the Money and Run”, “Jungle Love,” “Space Cowboy”, and “The Joker”. During the show, Steve Miller and his bandmates did a bypath to perform a few blues songs for his fans which won over the audience.
This was their sixth time the Steve Miller Band had performed at Ravinia and if you closed your eyes you would guess you were listening to the radio as the vocals and band performed flawlessly.
