Rocker Tom Keifer pushes it up another notch on “Rise”

Cleopatra records just released the powerful blues-infused heavy rock album “Rise” from the legendary Tom Keifer. Keifer who founded the hard rock band “Cinderella” released his first solo album nearly six years ago called “The Way Life Goes” that has a mix of incredible hard rock songs to crafty ballads. After handpicking his new band, the Keifer Band has been on the road each year performing songs off the debut solo album as well as all the classic “Cinderella” hits. Fans have been waiting patiently for his sophomore solo album and “Rise” was well worth the wait. In fact, this album just steers right up the tracks with monster rock songs and Keifer’s classic heart pumping ballads. Keifer showcases 11 new songs on the new album and each song just rises to another level of excellence overload

The album kicks off with the powerful yet eerie rocking “Touching The Divine” with Keifer roaring thru with his distinctive voice singing lyrics like “Dark Days Of My Soul, Mercy Set Me Free,” “I Am – I Am, Touching The Divine.” “The Death Of Me” is a hard-rocking dark song showcasing that if someone punches you down – better get back up and rise to that higher level. “All Amped Up” is another hard rocking song with spits of “The Rolling Stones” sounds here and there. No one can write and sing ballads quite like Keifer and “Waiting on the Demons” just is one super song. “You Believe In Me” was written for his wife Savannah who also writes music and is a member of his band. The song “Rise” is a blues-filled –heart-grabbing emotional song.
