Margaret Cho was born in 1968 in San Francisco, which she said with all sincerity helped shape her. Margaret Cho’s comedy career began at age 14. in the early 90’s she won a comedy contest to open for Jerry Seinfeld. Soon after she moved to Los Angeles in her twenties, she hit the college circuit where she became the most booked act on the college circuit and got a nomination for campus comedian of the year. Arsenio Hall introduced her to late night audiences. Bob Hope put her on a prime-time special.

Margaret’s next stage in her career was All American Girl (1994}, which starred Maddie Corman, Clyde Kusatsu, Jodi Long, Amy Hill, Judy Gold and of course Margaret Cho. The show is very entertaining and funny. All the characters play their parts perfectly. It’s a pick me up when you’re down type of show. Very funny. Another huge role for Margaret was “Face/Off” starring her and John Travolta and Nicolas Cage. After All American Girl Margaret Cho wanted to make sure she only had to answer to herself, making sure she was responsible for distribution and sales of her film “I’m The One I Want.”

Margaret Cho also had her comedy show line ups like “ Notorious C.H.O. The New York Times called it “ Brilliant ” . Her next sold out “Revolution” was called by the Chicago Sun Times “ her strongest show yet” and the CD recording was nominated for a Grammy for comedy. In 2005 Margaret Cho released Assassin, with The Chicago Tribune stating “She packs passion into each punch”.

And we can’t forget her on the Masked Singer.

On to “Live And Livid Royal Oak Music Theater, Michigan, 2023. I arrived at the theater I parked, and I walked out of the parking lot and the line is around the corner to get in the show. As you can see Margaret Cho has made a name for herself. Very funny, makes valid points as a storyteller. People were literally crying laughing throughout the show. When I tell you she still has it 2 thumbs up really enjoyed the show. Margaret Cho keeps bringing laughter to the world people need it.
