Chloe Moriondo is an American singer-songwriter and YouTuber. Her style blends elements of indie pop and bedroom pop. with the occasional hyperpop. Her YouTube channel, which she began in January 2014, sits at over 3 million subscribers and over 200 million video views
On the third stop for her Sucker Punch tour showcasing her new album, Chloe Moriondo visited The House of Blues in Chicago. The first thing I noticed when I arrived at the venue was the number of people who wanted to be in the main pit area. From her supporting act,
Dreamer Isioma, very few people were sitting or on the outer perimeter through her set. Dreamer Isioma brought incredible energy with impressive stage presence, crowd engagement, and beautiful vocals over the well-mixed band. The crowd stayed engaged and attentive, causing the House of Blues floor to bounce as they reacted to Dreamer.
I have a soft spot for Chloe Moriondo; as she took the stage, I remembered my first time seeing her live back in Portland, OR on tour as a supporting act. Immediately I noticed how much better she had gotten from her already impressive talents on stage back then.
Her bubbly personality immediately had the crowd erupting with “I love you’s” and hand hearts throughout the audience. You could tell she was beyond appreciative of the support from her fans. Every song was a sing-along for the audience and brought to life with incredible lighting and audio mixing. The only minor thing I could say would be that some of the stage lights were at eye level to the audience, making Chloe challenging to see at different points of the show. Beyond this, her performance was memorable, and Chicago showed out as they always do for the artists they love.
