Wednesday13 stopped by and this time they took over The Asylum at Cleveland Masonic. I have never seen a concert played in such a venue! I walked in and my jaw hit the carpet! I was mesmerized at the history and architecture all around!

There were two openers who were Cleveland locals, Anarchy’s Child and Two Dead Roses. Anarchy’s Child with their front man, Remmy Remmington kicked the night off with energy that shook the walls and rattled the lights. These guys played a gambit of genre bending songs, and a cover or two that seriously set the pace for the night. Up next was Tow Dead Roses and having known these guys for several years now, they are constantly changing up their set and always improving for the crowd! When Tom made his way to the center of the stage, he had Chad to his right, and Mike to his left and they kept up the pace set for the night!

Then it was time for Wednesday13, the reason we all gathered there at the Masonic that night. The backdrop of the stage was a huge spiderweb with the Wednesday13 logo, and it made for some great pics in my opinion.

I was able to get a picture of the set list after the show, and it was truly a night of their greatest hits from their years of making some kick ass music!

  • Blood Sucker
  • You’re so Hideous
  • Scream Baby Scream
  • Look What the Bats Dragged In
  • Get Your Grave On
  • From Here to the Hearse
  • I Want You… Dead
  • Serpent Society
  • Good Day to be A Bad Guy
  • Nowhere
  • Die My Bride
  • Graverobbing USA
  • Insides Out
  • Decompose
  • Keep Watching The Skies
  • My Home Sweet Homicide
  • I Walked With a Zombie
  • Bad Things
  • I Love to Say Fuck

The show was on a Tuesday night, a brisk Cleveland evening. Even with it being a Tuesday, I was really impressed with the turnout for the show. As with any show, the people pile in as the night goes on, I personally love to get there for the openers and show them some love. Some of my favorite bands, including Wednesday13 were opening for someone else at some point. I first saw them open for Combichrist in Cleveland at the Grog Shop.

This time around the show was not as costume or prop based as they have been in the past, but that did not matter in the grand scheme of the night. When Wednesday13 took to the stage, the auditorium erupted with cheers and screams knowing we were about have our minds blown! The light show was fantastic, the acoustics in that auditorium were perfect to say the least!

I have only learned of these guys in the past 5yrs or so, and in that time I have listened to their entire catalog. Some of the songs I have only heard on streaming sites, and never live. Wednesday13 is hands down as good if not better sounding live than on a CD! They always have an entertaining stage presence with the make-up, the costumes, and the overall atmosphere!

Something that I was pleasantly surprised by was how well the new guy fit in on drums! Mike Dupke, I have not seen him before, and I do not know what his kit is made of… I cannot fathom how his kit lasts longer than a night! That guy was a madman! At one point, I looked at him and would have sworn that the man had 6 arms flailing about back there! Roman and Jack as usual killed it on guitar! Roman had a short solo midway through the show, and no matter how many times I see these guys, Roman and Jack never cease to amaze!

Press the play button to see Andrew photos of Wednesday13 from the night.

This was my 5th time seeing these guys live, and my third time photographing them! I cannot wait for the next time they are in town! If you have not seen Wednesday13 live yet, you need to make it a point to do so when they hit a city near you!
