Can The Who play with an Orchestra?

Hollywood Casio, Tinley Park, IL,USA, May 21, 2019

The Who came to Chicago or really Tinley Park IL on a cold rainy crappy night. The only Bright side of the night was The Who performing all their classic hits for the fans that bared the cold wet weather.

Daltrey and Townshend did their typical trademark windmill and mic twirl in old school fashion which of course generated the fans to get loud and excited with the set of “Tommy” material that found the strings swelling throughout “It’s A Boy,” “1921,” “Amazing Journey,” “Sparks,” “Pinball Wizard” and “We’re Not Gonna Take It”.

The Who

The who played more than two hours of fun-filled music stemming from the classic hits to even some odd stuff they have not played live before. Roger Daltrey was right when he said The Who with an orchestra, in no way will it compromise the way Pete and I deliver our music. This will be full throttle Who with horns and bells on.” Roger was correct when he stated that. The Who was outstanding, I myself couldn’t have been happier with how the night sounded and the performance.

The WHO players in the band featuring guitarist/backup singer Simon Townshend, keyboardist Loren Gold, bassist Jon Button and drummer Zak Starkey (son of Ringo Starr), and a wonderful sounding Orchestra.
