Rising artist Chloe Bailey kicked off her In my pieces tour in Chicago at the Riveria Theatre and the show wasn’t bad actually. Chloe is from Atlanta, and she’s been known for acting but now is starting to express herself through her music.

He sister Halley Bailey have been a duet for some years and now that Chloe is going solo, it is interesting to see her go on this solo journey. It is also not a surprise that both artists are signed to mega star Beyonce’s Parkwood Entertainment.

It feels like that she’s going to release more music in the future, I think she needs to grow more as an artist, and you saw that in the performance.

The venue wasn’t fully sold out, but it was good crowd that showed up on a warm Tuesday night in Chicago. The show started off with a DJ getting the crowd warmed up. The opening set was good. It was a balance of R&B and some hip hop. Drinks was flowing throughout the night and people was vibing to the music and having a good time.

The opening set went on for about 40 minutes and toward the end of the set, people started to get restless. The Chloe chants started to come out which lasted for about 5 minutes or so. When she came out the venue erupted, and it was a positive reaction from the fans.

The wait was worth it, and the cell phones was out recording her set. Most of the songs she performed was off the new album and I didn’t see fans knowing the lyrics to most of her songs. She did perform her hit song ‘Have Mercy” which the crowd was singing to. They were vibing to her music and the stage presence was something that can be worked on, but the performance overall was good. She interacted with the fans a little bit and thanked Chicago then left the stage. Make sure to catch her at a city near you on her tour.
