The powerhouse, show stopping rocker, Diamante, brought her American Dream Tour to Tucson. American Dream happens to be the name of Diamante’s newest album. In 2019, Diamante reunited with Howard Benson along with Neil Sanderson of Judge & Jury as an independent artist to make her sophomore album. She capitalized on her newfound freedom and independence by being her own CEO throughout every facet of the album process. Her headlining tour is presenting American Dream to the country.

Phoenix local band, Eyes Set to Kill, opened the show to a receptive crowd. Alexia, AJ, and Caleb gave their best before Diamante took the stage opening with “UnFuCk YoU” from American Dream. Diamante pumped up the crowd from the start with the fast, catchy tune. It was obvious from the get-go that the fans were very familiar with the American Dream album as they sang along to the new songs.

Diamante entered the stage with panache dressed in a black ensemble, very stylish, feminine, and gorgeous with unparalleled energy. Her seeming assuredness was very appealing to the rocker crowd. Standout songs in the set included her cover of the Goo Goo Dolls’ “Iris,” “American Dream,” and “Obvious.” “I Love Myself for Hating You” seemed to be a nod to Joan Jett, one of Diamante’s absolute heroes. “Haunted” was also a fan favorite from Diamante’s first album, Coming In Hot. “Unlovable” was sung with a calming grace of presence.

The crowd moved to the front of the stage as Diamante moved constantly all over the stage making eye contact with many of the fans giving the impression that this show is for each and every individual as she sang. Make no mistake, Diamante delivered full-bore vocals with fist pumps and arm waves during the revived-up tempo throughout the set as she interacted with the fans.

Many of the delighted fans stayed after the show to meet and greet Diamante for autographs and photo ops. Diamante was just as appreciative as her fans as they connected with the multi-talented singer. Diamante’s talent and fearless passion will take her far in today’s unpredictable music business.
