Steely Dan did not lose that number and rocked Ravinia!

American rock band Steely Dan was booked for two nights at the outdoor music venue Ravinia, located in Highland Park, IL. The venue was packed to see this iconic band that formed back in 1972. The band’s music blends rock, jazz, blues, R&B, and Latin sounds. As the band took to the stage and warmed up the crowd the energy started rising. After a few minutes, Donald Fagan walked out on stage to sit at his piano. Fagan is the co-founder, lead singer, co-songwriter, and keyboardist of the band. (Co-founder Walter Becker of the band passed in 2017).

The writing team of Fagan and Becker produced timeless hits and Fagan with his band delivered the goods. The band performed many of their treasured classics like “Hey Nineteen”, “Peg”, “Aja”, “Rikki Don’t Lose That Number”, “Kid Charlemagne” and “Reelin’ In The Years”. Fagan stayed at his piano during the night rocking back and forth as he performed the Steely Dan hits.

The band backing Fagan performed flawlessly and Steely Dan fans enjoyed hearing a huge catalog of hits during the two-hour show. Also, adding to the incredible night of music was the opening band Dinosaur Exhibit performing jazz-rock blend of music.
