Today we learn that Vinnie Paul, legendary drummer of HellYeah and Pantera, has passed away at the age of 54.  The reports poured in from outlets such as Blabbermouth, CNN, Billboard, Rolling Stone and many other news sources of his death. Vincent Paul Abbott is known to all as Vinnie Paul was hailed as one of the greatest drummers of all time.  The internet social sphere is wishing Vinnie Paul prayers to rest in peace by all in the music community.  We at UnRated Magazine are giving our condolences and prayers to Vinnie Paul and his family.  Another musical legend who has brought so much love with music has passed away.  We are heartbroken and pray that Vinnie Paul and his brother Dimebag Darrell are at peace together.

Vinnie Paul was a founding member of the band Pantera who hit the metal music scene back in the early 1990s.  The debut album Far Beyond Driven (1994) hit number one on the charts and propelled them as a super group in heavy metal that sold out stadium size crowds.  After Pantera called it quits Vinnie Paul continued with his brother Dimebag Darrell (Darrell Abbot) with the band Damage Plan. In 2004 Dimebag Darrell was shot and killed on stage back on December 8, 2004.  Vinnie Paul continued forming the supergroup Hellyeah till his death yesterday, Saturday, June 22, 2018.

Chicago’s Taft High School students gather as a part of a national movement to protest school shootings on today.

Wednesday’s walkouts happened after a gunman killed 17 students last month at Marjory Stoneman Douglas High School in Parkland, Florida.

Many students stepped outside for 17 minutes (one minute for each person killed at the Florida school). Students at schools in Chicago and throughout the suburbs walked out, some holding a moment of silence at the end.

As one bystander said, “It’s enough to make me cry. I never thought I would see this. Seeing student caring for a cause”.

Katy Perry will be performing in Chicago on October 24 & 25, 2017 at the United Center for her Witness: The Tour concert shows. It will be a special day to have Katy in Chicago on October 25th- it’s her birthday and Chicago gets to celebrate with her! Katy released her new album on June 9, her singles released thus far – the Platinum-certified “Chained to the Rhythm” featuring Skip Marley and the follow-up single, “Bon Appétit” featuring Migos – reveal the breadth of the musical and thematic elements found on Witness.

Katy’s Witness Tour will last a year, with a few months break in late winter 2018, and has her performing throughout the U.S. with a couple dates in Vancouver, BC, Canada. In the spring of 2018 she then moves on to Europe, UK, Australia and New Zealand.

Camila Cabello leaves the all girl group Fifth Harmony on December 19. It seems that the release put out by Fifth Harmony countered what Camila Cabello actually stated.  You can read the news below.

“when i turned 15, i had the blessing of being put into a group with four very talented girls. we were 5 strangers that weren’t even aware of each other’s existence that were given a shot at one dream together. it’s been almost 5 years and the most important chapter of my life thus far. i am proud of everything we’ve achieved together as a group and will always be proud of being a part of it.

i was shocked to read the statement the fifth harmony account posted without my knowing. the girls were aware of my feelings through the long, much needed conversations about the future that we had during tour. Saying that they were just informed through my representatives that i was “leaving the group” is simply not true. just like the other girls said in their statement about their plans, i had also planned to continue with my own solo endeavors in the new year but i did not intend to end things with fifth harmony this way. as sad as it is to see this chapter ending this way, i will continue to root them all on as individuals and as a group, i wish nothing but the best for them, all the success in the world and true happiness.

just as i said to them during those conversation, and just like i try to encourage you guys, i want to lead by example when i say to each of you guys to be courageous in the pursuit of what makes your heart pound and what makes you come alive with purpose. our happiness is our own responsibility. we only have one life and we never know how much time we really have. we don’t carry money, trophies, social media followers, fame or success with us.. we carry the memories that made us feel alive and the moments that made us fall in love with life. New chapters are scary, but conforming to what’s safe and looking back with regret is even scarier.

Next year I will be working on my own music and giving you a big chunk of my heart. To our amazing fans, I will always be so thankful for the opportunities being in this group has given to me. I am even more thankful for the times that we’ve gone to get frozen yogurt together and talk about music, for the times we’ve locked eyes during a lyric, for the hugs that put pieces back together in both of us, for more love than i can put into words, and for showing me the way to myself. You took 5 ordinary girls and made their dreams come true- and together, us and you guys, we’ve written an amazing story- of girls from all different cultures, backgrounds, colors, shapes, languages, music tastes, all going for one dream- a dream i will never forget. the memories we’ve made together will last a life time. now i gotta walk the walk.. i have always encouraged you to be fearless, to live your life in the name of love and to do what makes you happy…. as scary as it is to take the leap, i am excited and full of joy because i know that no matter what happens, i am following my hear.
