Ravinia, Highland Park, IL, USA September 10, 2017

Stevie Nicks, the singer – the songwriter – the poet – the storyteller. Stevie Nicks is legendary and Chicago welcomed her to the Ravinia stage with one of the best shows ever performed at the outdoor venue.  Stevie came out showcasing a super mix of new songs off her latest album “24 Karat Gold – Songs From the Vault” while mixing in her classic solo hits along with a few Fleetwood Mac smash hits.  Her band hit the stage at 7:30pm on a beautiful clear night and launched into “Gold and Braid” followed by “If Anyone Falls.”

During the concert, Stevie Nicks told stories about her songs, why they were written, meanings of each, and artists she had friendships with during her career including: Tom Petty, record producer Jimmy Iovine and her dear friend Prince. During the narration of her career Stevie used visuals such as photos and videos. The multimedia presentation highlighted her career from her early days. This was a super touch as she brought the audience into her world for a few hours.  She performed songs flawlessly the entire night including “Gypsy,” “Wild Heart,” “Stand Back,” “Gold Dust Woman” and “Edge of Seventeen.”  Other songs she put in her set included “New Orleans,” “Starshine” and “Belle Fleur.”

Did Stevie Nicks still do her famous circular dance twirl?  Why, of course, she did and her fans gave a huge applause to it.  Dare her wild heart!
