For those who have never seen Nightmare (shame on you) the film is all about a world called Halloweentown where the skies are brown and gray and the entire town is filled with monsters and ghosts and goblins. The person who runs the holiday Halloween for the town is Jack Skellington, a showman who loves to scare and create the best Halloween parties each year.

In my humble opinion there is nothing bad that can be said of Cars 2… nothing. The movie is great. The new release has espionage, spies, world travel, and friendship. Plus the animation is out of this world. The Pixar Studio since the beginning (thanks Steve Jobs) has been putting out the best animations to date. Disney is very lucky to have acquired them.

Set in the 1930′s, this pulp comic book comes to life by introducing Cliff Secord (Bill Campbell) , a young pilot who is testing out his new plane with his engineer Peevy (Alan Arkin). When Cliff is struck down in his plane by a stray bullet from a police chase, he must crash land and thus destroying his plane. Based on a bestselling novel by Kathryn Stockett, The Help reveals a world very rarely tapped into. It shows the side of African American maids and they’re experiences working for Caucasian employers. It’s a heartwarming tale that allows you to understand the strength that these maids had to have in order to endure the disrespect and agony of being looked-over people.

The 1080p picture boasts a reference quality image and stands up as the previous Pirates of the Caribbean did with strong deep colors that have their vivid tonality jumping off the screen. Deeply saturated backgrounds provide and excellent showcase to the contrast and flesh tones providing a wonderful visual experience.

After a four year absence, Captain Jack Sparrow is back. If you have read any of the reviews for the new Pirates of the Caribbean film, it seems like he isn’t welcome. I must have seen a different movie. On Stranger Tides is nowhere near as great or fresh as the original but it may be the best of the sequels thus far and kicked off the summer movie season of 2011 just fine.
