Director Luci Fulci plays himself as a director who is starting to go crazy as a serial killer has been killing numerous women all around him. Forget story, this has the highest body count of any Fulci film.

This peculiar Canadian film feels very much like a David Lynch meets John Hughes movie. The Reflecting Skin may be the most bizarre coming-of-age films I have ever seen. It’s so unusual that one can’t help but be captivated by what is going on with these weird characters.

For some reason pretty Elizabeth Shelley is engaged to nerdy weirdo Jeffrey Franken, even though he grows brains with giant cyclopian eyeballs and plays with them during her father’s birthday party. Anyway, Jeffrey invents a remote control lawnmower which Elizabeth promptly uses to kill herself. Grief stricken, Jeffery does what any self respecting medical school dropout would do and sets out to build Elizabeth a new body out of 42nd street hookers.
