The Adventures of Harry Potter continue and this one is the best yet, they get better each time. I went to see this twice already and probably will see it again. For those of you who don’t know I’m a huge Harry Potter fan and I’ve even read all the books and DVDs. For those of you that are die hard readers, forget the fact that there are elements missing from the book. Mike Newell did a great job getting key elements into the move based on the fact that the book is over 800 pages. From a screenwriter’s point of view, Steven Kloves wrote a good screenplay adaptation of J.K. Rowling’s novel. The effects are great and in some places rather creepy. This is also one of the darkest of the movies and it moves pretty fast. Most of all, even though it’s a dark movie, there are some good laughs as well, a nice mix of drama and humor.
Harry Potter’s (Daniel Radcliff) back for his fourth year at Hogwarts, with Hermione Granger (Emma Watson) and Ron Weasley (Rupert Grint), where He faces his most deadly challenges so far. His nemesis, Lord Voldemort (Ralph Fiennes), is again attempting to enter the real world, at all costs, with the help of Wormtail (Timothy Spall) and Barty Crouch Junior (David Tennant), who comes to Hogwarts posed as the new Defense Against the Dark Art teacher, Alastor ‘Mad¬Eye’ Moody (Brendan Gleeson). Hogwarts has been chosen to host the very dangerous Tri-Wizard Tournament, where three wizarding schools participate to win the Tri-Wizard Cup for there school. Harry, one of Hogwarts champion, is mysteriously selected to participate in the Tounament with the other Hogwarts champion, Cedric Diggory, the Durmstrang Champion, Victor Krum (Stanislav Ianevski) and the Beauxbatons Champion, Fleur Delacour (Clémence Poésy). Hermione has definitely blossomed since the first movie and get as date for the Tri-Wizard Ball, which finally gets Ron’s attention. The jury is still out on whether or not there will be a relationship between Ron and Hermione. If you haven’t read the book I won’t spoil the end, but I will tell you this. Voldemort’s return cost our heroes plenty and then some.
