Review by Dan Hansen

If you want to have an outright laugh, this clay-mation comedy is for you. Also, when you mix in British humor with sexual innuendoes toss it about a bit, you get Wallace and Gromit. I have seen my fair share of animated stuff but this one is hilarious. You don’t have to be a kid to enjoy it and I think that is why PG is starting to take on a whole new meaning. Plus, there is a great short movie “Christmas Caper” starring those four whacky penguins from Madagascar. I was rolling on the floor laughing my ass off, that I think my family was embarrassed to be seen with me.

Wallace (Peter Sallis), an absent minded inventor and his side kick dog, Gromit’s (Doesn’t need a voice) are two innovative pals that run a humane pest-control outfit. With the annual Giant Vegetable Competition approaches, their business is booming, and Wallace & Gromit are finding that running a “humane” pest control outfit has its drawbacks as their home fills to the brim with captive rabbits. Suddenly, a huge, mysterious, veg-ravaging “beast” begins attacking the town’s sacred vegetable gardens at night, and the competition hostess, Lady Tottington (Helena Bonham Carter), hires them to catch it and save the day. However, Lady Tottington’s snobby suitor, Victor Quartermaine (Ralph Fiennes) would rather shoot the beast and secure the position of local hero-not to mention get Lady Tottingon’s hand in marriage. With the fate of the competition in the balance and our heroes are failing, Lady Tottington regretfully allows Victor to hunt down the vegetable chomping marauder. Little does she know that Victor’s real intent could have dire consequences for her… and our two heroes.
