Schaumburg SeptemberFest, Schaumburg IL, USA, September 3, 2017

Review by Anita Maree Brodersen

Lita Ford, guitarist, vocalist, and songwriter, hit the stage at the annual Labor Day festival at Schaumburg’s SeptemberFest. Lita is looking great and fit and still having that hard drive from her Runaway days. Lita and her band showcased plenty of her hits. Lita’s band is Patrick Kennison –guitar, Bobby Rock – drums, and Marty O’Brien on bass. Stepping out in front of a few thousand; Lita performed many of her hits which include “Back to the Cave,” “Hungry,” “Can’t Catch Me,” “Close My Eyes Forever,” and fan favorite “Kiss Me Deadly.” In addition Ford covered the Elton John hit “Bitch is Back.” Lita Ford has build a loyal fan base over her career. During her teens she was lead guitarist for the all female band the Runaways, which included bandmates, Joan Jett and Cherie Currie.

Ford’s latest release “Living Like a Runaway” is her eighth studio album which has been met with positive reviews. In addition she has a book out, “Living Like a Runaway: A Memoir” by Lita Ford. Lita is gearing up for new music soon!
